Description Robots use mechanisms to perform a rich variety of tasks and while building a robot in high school can be a lot of fun and a great learning experience, this alone will not prepare you for the introductory class in Mechanical Engineering at the University level. To move to the next level students need to understand mechanism, 3D CAD and motion. This is the foundation of Robotics design and countless other areas concerning machine design. Understanding mechanisms and how they work is a critical part of Mechanical Engineering and Design. This class takes a look at various types of mechanism used to build machines and robots.
